Carbon Steel Pipe Welded Hot Rolled Seamless Steel Pipe
Carbon Steel Pipe
Carbon steel pipe is a strong material widely used in many industries. It is mainly divided into two types: hot rolled and cold rolled (drawn).
Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Pipe:
Manufacturing process: Hot rolled carbon steel pipe is made by heating the steel above the recrystallization temperature (about 926°C to 1400°C) and rolling it. This process can destroy the cast structure of the steel billet, refine the grains, and eliminate microstructural defects, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the steel.
Advantages:
High strength: The hot rolling process refines the grains of the steel and improves the mechanical properties, especially in the rolling direction.
Cost-effectiveness: The hot rolling process is relatively simple, low-cost, and suitable for large-scale production.
High customization: Pipes of different sizes and shapes can be customized according to customer needs.
Cold Rolled/Drawn Carbon Steel Pipe:
Manufacturing process: Cold rolled (drawn) carbon steel pipes are rolled or drawn below the recrystallization temperature. This process can further improve the dimensional accuracy and surface finish of the pipe.
Advantages:
High precision: high dimensional accuracy and good surface finish, suitable for equipment requiring high precision.
Good corrosion resistance: The cold rolling process makes the pipe surface smoother and reduces the possibility of corrosion.
Hot Rolled Seamless Steel Pipe
Hot rolled seamless steel pipe is a steel pipe without welds, which is manufactured through a high temperature rolling process.
Manufacturing process:
Bill heating: The billet is heated to a high temperature state.
Piercing: The billet is punched into a hollow rough tube by a piercing machine.
Rolling: The rough tube is rolled into a steel pipe of the required size through multiple rolling passes.
Cooling and sizing: Sizing treatment is performed after cooling to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the pipe.
Hydrostatic test: Hydrostatic test is performed to ensure the sealing and strength of the pipe.
Advantages:
High strength: Hot rolled seamless steel pipe has high strength and good mechanical properties, and can withstand high pressure and high temperature.
No leakage: The seamless design ensures that the pipe will not leak during use, and is suitable for conveying liquids and gases.
Cost-effectiveness: The manufacturing process is relatively simple, the cost is low, and it is suitable for large-scale production.
