8500 series pressure holding and relief valve consists of a main valve, a guide valve, a needle valve, a ball valve, and a pressure gauge. As the guide valve, needle valve, ball valve, and pressure gauge are connected to the main valve through a conduit, they are collectively referred to as a conduit control system, as shown in the following figure.
When making a pressure relief valve, the main valve is installed on the drainage bypass, which is connected to the main pipeline in parallel. When making a pressure holding valve, the main valve is installed on the main pipeline directly. As long as the water supply pressure upstream of the main valve is lower than the set pressure, the main valve is closed. When the water supply pressure upstream of the main valve exceeds the set pressure, the main valve will open to supply water downstream of the main valve, thereby ensuring the water supply pressure upstream of the main valve. It is mainly used to maintain the minimum water supply pressure of the urban main pipeline, especially in the event of a fire, It can prevent branch pipes from being used for excessive pumping and pressure reduction.
