Overview:

For the convenience of welding, the reinforcing ring can be placed on the outer or inner surface of the wall, or symmetrically placed on the inner and outer surfaces, but for the convenience of welding, the reinforcing ring is generally placed on the outside for single-sided reinforcement. In order to check the tightness of the weld, there is a small M10 threaded hole on the reinforcement ring. Compressed air is introduced from here to conduct a weld tightness test. The reinforcement circle is now standardized.

The reinforcing ring has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture, and has a wide range of applications. In particular, high-strength steel has high hardenability, is more sensitive to welding cracks, and is more prone to cracking. Also, because the reinforcing ring and the shell or the connecting metal are not formed as a whole, the fatigue resistance is poor. Therefore, the use range of the reinforcement ring lap welding structure needs to be limited.
