The difference between socket welded pipe fittings and butt welded pipe fittings

The butt welding method should be selected for high places.
2. Socket welded pipe fittings are mostly used for small specifications with lower working pressure levels. Butt welded pipe fittings are generally used for higher working pressure levels. After butt welding of welded pipe fittings and stainless steel pipes, 100% flaw detection test should be carried out to ensure that there is no leakage.
3. To put it bluntly, socket welding is to insert stainless steel pipe into socket welding pipe fittings for electric welding. Butt welding is to weld branch pipes and pipe fittings directly to each other. Usually, the butt welding regulations are higher than the socket welding regulations, and the quality of electric welding after welding is excellent, but The inspection method is relatively strict. X-ray inspection should be done for butt welding, and penetration inspection for socket welding. If the fluid mechanics in the pipeline does not require high electric welding, it is recommended to use socket welded pipe for easy inspection.
