The MAIN DIFFERENCES between straight gear planet reducer and helical gear planet reducer is as followings,
Different structures. The internal solar wheels, large planet wheels and transmission gears of straight gear planet reducer are all straight gear; the internal solar wheels, large planet wheels, and transmission gears of the planet reducer are all helical gear.
Different precision. The first level accuracy of straight gear planet reducer is usually within 10 arc-min, and the detailed one can reach 6 arc-min; the first level precision of the helical planet reducer is about 5 arcs, and the detailed one can reach 1 arc-min.
Different torque and efficiency are transmitted. The straight gear planet reducer is under the motor axis, and the torque is less torque and the high efficiency is low when the straight gear is combined; The transmission device is stable, the tensile strength is high, and the efficiency is high.
Different noise. The noise and vibration of the planetary reducer are smaller.
The bearing capacity is different. The overlapping coefficient of the helical gear is greater than the overlap coefficient of the straight gear, so the bearing capacity of the helical gear is higher than that of the straight gear.
The support methods of planet stand are different. The planetary shelf of the helical gear must be a dual-supporting structure, and the straight gear can be used both with dual support or a single support structure.
The difficulty of manufacturing and assembly is different. When the straight gear reducers are manufactured, the difficulty and economical of the helical gear are often integrated because it needs to be treated with multiple slice straight gears.
