PLA403 Plasma Probe Used for Laryngeal Tumor Resection and Papilloma Resection
Operation Guidance
A. Connect the suction tube of the disposable plasma probe to the standard surgical aspirator.
Caution: When the plasma probe is not used, turn off the saline drip to prevent scalded patients
Caution: Suction pipe could not be in contact with patients, it might scald patients if suction objects were hot.
B. Adjust the flow regulating knob on the drip pipe and set the appropriate flow rate for the plasma probe.
Precaution: The flow regulating knob should be opened wider to ensure that there is continual flow of saline.
Caution: Remove the plasma probe from the patient when fixing the plasma probe drip pipe or setting the flow rate of saline, otherwise the fluid may scald the patient.
C. Caution: In the process of ablation and coagulation, the operating surgeon shall be aware that the electronic equipment can cause electrical stimulation to muscle tissues.
Caution: When saline flows through the electrode, the temperature may rise, so it should be avoided that saline flows to the non-surgical area. When the plasma probe is installed or cleaned, please ensure that there is a container to collect waste saline.
Tips
1. During the surgery, the tissue should be ablated from bottom to top, from the middle to the side little by little. To the electrode with absorption function: in order to achieve the best electrode performance, it must have enough suction. A certain gap between the electrode and the tissue should be useful for avoid blocking. Once the aspirator does not working, the operation should be stopped and the plasma probe, suction tube and aspirator should be checked. If the absorption function does not work properly, it indicates that the plasma probe is blocked, or the aspirator does not work properly.
3. Small area bleeding can basically be stopped in the ablation process. However, if the coagulation function is needed, please put the electrode surface to the bleeding position and set the coagulation function at the same time. Loosen the blood vessels, and then check the bleeding point again.
4. During the surgery, please prepare wet cotton soaked with saline, and wipe the dirt on the tip of the electrode at any time. Before ablate the other side of the tonsil, please make sure that the tip has been wiped and cleaned.
5. Once the disposable plasma probe is blocked, it should be taken out of the incision and immersed in the cup with saline, and then activate the probe with the maximum output power at the same time. If it is still blocked, you can use the syringe to inject saline into the suction pipe by the opposite direction towards the tip of the probe, and output the maximum power at the same time.
