The 3500/53 133396-01 Bently overspeed detection input/output module is a component of the Bently Nevada 3500 series mechanical protection system, specifically designed for reliable and responsive electronic overspeed protection. This module is used for mechanical overspeed protection applications, utilizing proximity sensors or eddy current sensors to receive speed pulse input signals. Then, these signals drive the alarm to protect the machine. This module provides four fast response alarm relay outputs to achieve the required protection objectives. It is designed as a highly reliable, responsive, and redundant tachometer system specifically designed for mechanical overspeed protection. This module can be used to form a 2 out of 2 or 3 out of 2 (recommended) voting system within the framework of the 3500 overspeed detection system, which requires redundant power supply to install.

The 3500 overspeed protection system can be configured as a 2 out of 2 or 3 out of 2 voting system to enhance reliability. Each overspeed detection module receives signals from eddy current sensors or magnetic sensors, with an input signal range of+10.0V to -24.0V. Signals beyond this range will be limited within the module. It is applicable to Bently 3300 8mm eddy current sensor, 330016mm high temperature eddy current sensor (HTPS), 7200 5mm, 8mm, 11mm and 14mm eddy current sensor, 3300RAM eddy current sensor or magnetic sensor. The 3500/53 133396-01 overspeed protection module is designed as a single channel module and is applicable to applications involving dual module or three module overspeed protection. This module receives speed pulse input signals from proximity or electromagnetic sensors and uses these input signals to drive alarms.

In order to achieve machine protection goals, this module provides four types of fast response alarm relay outputs.
