How is a solenoid valve put together?

Generally speaking, a solenoid valve consists of a coil and a valve body. The coil is fitted on an armature tube. With relatively small, direct operated valves, the moveable armature opens and closes the valve by directly opening or closing the valve seat.

The part of the armature that contacts the valve seat is fitted with a gasket to improve the internal media tightness of the valve.
