Foam-filled fenders are also frequently used in ship-to-ship and ship-to-dock berthing operations. They are used as a replacement for normal aero fenders. These fenders are made of a polyurethane elastomer skin (or rubber skin), nylon reinforcement and closed-cell elastic foam. Foam-elastomer fenders perform on par with inflatable fenders, but in the event of a skin puncture, the fenders do not lose their function and are highly resistant to abrasion.

Marine guard foam fender is a kind of constructive fender with polyurethane materials as its outer protective layer and polyethylene or plastic foam core forming the resilient inner part. Through comoressive deformation to absorb impacting energy of the ship when using. So that it can reduce destructive effect to the pier and the ship.

Marine guard foam fender is also a kind of compressed fender which builds outer

protecive layer with polyurethane materials and adopts polyurethane foaming material or
