Material : Copper + tin
The tape shall be from electrical grade copper, bright, clean, smooth, uniform inannealing, ductility, flexibility and dimension. It shall be free from scales, cracks, spills, splits and other harmful defects.
Thickness
The thickness of the tape shall be as ordered from Table 1 with a tolerance of ± 0.006mm. For tinned copper tape, pure tin thickness shall be 1~3 microns nominal uniform layer on both the sides including edges.
Width
The tape width supplied shall be as ordered from Table 1 with a tolerance of ± 0.4 mm.
Tensile strength and elongation
The Tensile strength of the tape shall not be more than 260 N/mm². The Elongation at break shall not be less than 15% for plain copper tape and tinned copper tape.
Electrical resistivity
At 20°C the resistivity of the plain or tinned annealed copper tape shall not be greater than 0.01737 .meter.
Joint
Joints should not be present in a single pad length.
Packaging
The tape shall be wound uniformly into coiled pads and packed in wooden boxes.
Separators shall be used between the layers when coil pads are kept in layers. In order to prevent distortion of pad bores during transport.
