Silicone SL-300 is an all-purpose stabilizer for manufacturing polyester polyurethane foams which does not contain any nonylphenol ethoxylates.
Physical properties Appearance | Clear yellow liquid |
Viscosity 25ºC | 50-200mPa.s |
Density 25ºC | 0.95-1.01g/cm3 |
SL-300 alone is sufficient to achieve a uniform fine cell structure without additional dosage of cell regulators or emulsifiers.
Application SL-300 is a safe and reliable foam stabilizer which can be used in a wide range of formulations for polyester polyurethane foam.
SL-300 combines a well-balanced stabilizing effect with a high emulsifying efficiency.
SL-CLA in normal applied concentration can be safely used as another additive for improving the die-cuttability when SL-300 is applied as a stabilizer.
Instructions for use The recommended applied concentration of SL-300 can be varied between 0.8 parts and 1.5 parts per 100 parts polyester polyol depending on the used formulation.
The high level of the emulsifying characteristics of SL-300 ensures that clear and homo-geneous activator solutions are produced with the normally used applied concentratioin of any of customary ester foam catalysts,in particular with standard catalysts like e.g. Menhover amine AT-05 and amine AT-12.
Packaging 200 kg steel drum
1000 kg IBC
Instructions for storage For SL-300 we guarantee a shelf life of at least 12 months upon delivery under the condition, that it is stored in factory-packed containers and protected against extreme weather conditions, particularly against heat and moisture.
The solidification point of SL-300 is below -10ºC.At a temperature of approx -5ºC and below the clear liquid changes into a turbid dispersion. It is necessary to warm up under-cooled material to about ambient room temperature and stir it adequately while before use.
