we manufacture the insulators with C-120 porcelain material, so the insulators have very good mechanical & electrical character . after production , we will test each insulator with below routine test :

1 tension load test with applied mechanical strength 60kN withstand for 1 minute
2 flashover test , to sort the unqualified product out . if the insulator punctured , that means the insulators are unqualified . we must sort them out .
after routine test , we will also do sample test on each batch to be sure the related batch of product are qualified . test items including : dimensions check , thermal shock test ,zinc thickness test on metal fittings , combined electrical & mechanical test , puncture test etc.

ANSI 52-5 class insulators can be used for tension string or suspension string from 110kV up to 330kV electrical power lines .
