4. If the varistor is applied to a high-voltage line similar to thunder, it is recommended to install the varistor on the 220v power line.

working principle

The varistor utilizes the nonlinear characteristic of the varistor. When an overvoltage occurs between the two poles of the varistor, the varistor can clamp the voltage to a relatively fixed voltage value, thereby protecting the latter circuit.
