The Hysteresis dynamometer (AHD series) is a versatile and ideal solution for low and medium power testing. Unlike other types of brakes, hysteresis brakes do not rely on speed to generate torque and can be tested from no load to locked rotor. Depending on the model, brake cooling is provided by convection cooling (no wind source) or air cooling (compressed air AHD series or blower BHD series).
The hysteresis dynamometer has the capability to radiate heat continuously and intermittently over short periods of time. The accuracy of the dynamometer ranges from ±0.25% to ±0.5% of full scale, which may vary depending on the size and system composition of the dynamometer. The dynamometer also offers special designs for high-speed motor testing, making it ideal for use in the performance testing of various AC and DC motors (torque, speed, power, etc.).
