Description:

The Cold Runner Three Plate Mold is a specialized injection mold utilized in the production of plastic components. It comprises three primary plates: the cavity plate, the core plate, and the runner plate. The cavity plate and core plate define the actual shape of the part being manufactured, while the runner plate is responsible for establishing the pathways through which the molten plastic is delivered into the mold cavity.
The term "cold runner" denotes the absence of heating in the channels through which the plastic material travels. This can lead to premature cooling and solidification of the plastic within the channels, resulting in material wastage as the solidified plastic in the runners needs to be removed and discarded.

Weighing in at 1158kg, it's tailored for use with a 180 (T) tonnage injection molding machine (IMM). Its dimensions span 400mm in length, 640mm in width, and 541mm in height.
Crafted for mass production, this mold prioritizes production cost, quality, and cycle time. It boasts three slides and three lifters to ensure precision in molding. VDI 18# polishing graces selected surfaces, while the cavity and core are hardened using 1*1/S136 material, ensuring exceptional hardness and anti-wear performance. With a tool life of up to 500,000 shots, this mold is meticulously designed to prevent leakage and maintain stable cavity pressure, promoting uniform wall thickness in the molded parts. The resulting products feature smooth surfaces, sharp edges, and no burrs. Furthermore, the mold facilitates the creation of precise threads and consistent thickness throughout the molded parts.
This mold operates with a cold runner injection/runner type, accommodating PC/TPU as the part material. The part size measures 129.44 X 163.28 X 60.35mm, with a part weight of 9.84g.
