Product description

The 55CrSi spring steel has high strength, good elastic limit, high yield ratio, good toughness after heat treatment, and higher hardenability than 65Mn steel. It is suitable for the manufacture of flat springs with medium loads such as railway vehicles, automobiles, and tractors, and spiral springs with a diameter of less than 25mm. Cushion springs and cylinder safety valves are important springs that work under high stress, and can also be used as heat-resistant springs below 250°C.

On the allowable amount of compression

Never use it under the condition of exceeding the maximum compression. If it is used under the condition of exceeding the maximum compression, it may lead to the decrease of load durability.
