ASTM A29 1045 Hard Chrome Plated Precision Piston Rod For Hydraulic Pneumatic Cylinders
Type: Hard Chrome Plated Piston Rod
Application: For Hydraulic Pneumatic Cylinders, Mechanical engineer
Technique: Cold Drawn
Steel Grade According to Different Standards
China steel grades: GB standard | 45# Steel |
Germany steel grades: DIN standard | CK45 |
Japanese steel grades: JIS standard | S45C |
American steel grades: AISI Standard | 1045 |
With technical indices complying with relevant standards, our piston rod is featured as energy and material saving, highly polished, high precision and well straightened, and able to retard the generation or expansion of fatigue crack, thus improving cylinder rod fatigue strength.
The product is made of 1045# steel and ground to precision tolerance within 0.02-0.04 mm according to F7 tolerance and customer requirements. Its surface is plated with hard chrome by 0.015-0.03 mm to ensure the thickness of chrome coating. Furthermore, it can be customized with materials required by customers.
Chemical Composition:
Grade | C | Mn | Cu | S | P |
1045 | 0.43-0.50 | 0.60-0.90 | 0.2 | 0.05 | 0.04 |
Mechanical proporties:
Grade | Tensile Strength | Yield Point | Elongation |
1045 | ≥600N/mm² | ≥355N/mm² | min.16% |
Heat Treatment Methods of 1045 Cylinder Rod:
Induction hardening: Induction hardening is a form of heat treatment in which a metal part is heated by induction heating and then quenched. Induction hardening of piston rods in hydraulic cylinders is performed in order to increase the resistance to damage from external impact in applications where there is risk for them.
Quenching and tempering: Generally, the heat treatment method combined of quenching and high-temperature tempering is called thermal refining, which is widely applied to various important structural parts, especially the connecting rods, bolts, gears and shafts working under alternating load. The tempered sorbite has better mechanical property than normalized sorbite of the same hardness. Its hardness depends on tempering temperature and relates to stability of tempering and sectional dimension of workpiece, and is generally HB200-350.
Induction hardened with Q&T: After induction hardening with Q&T, the piston rods could not only obtain greater mechanical properties, but also achieve a greater resistance to damage from external impact.
