Chromoly 4130 Steel Tube
Chromoly Steel :
A refractory alloy consisting of chromium-based alloys with other elements.
Compared with nickel, chromium has higher melting point (1860℃), higher
specific strength (ratio of strength to density), better oxidation resistance and
corrosion resistance of high sulfur, diesel fuel and sea water.
Chromoly Steel process
Chromium alloy billet can be made by smelting or powder metallurgy. Because of its
high vapor pressure, chromium needs inert gas protection during smelting. High quality
ingot can be obtained by smelting electrolytic chromium refined by chromium iodide or
hydrogen and adding alloying elements. Dispersion - strengthened alloys can be obtained
by adding dispersion - phase compounds directly to chromium by powder metallurgy.
Plastic processing can be extruded, and then forged or rolled, the use of mild steel cladding
to facilitate deformation, after processing with pickling removal of steel sleeve. Some
chromium alloy targets can also be formed by hot isostatic pressing
