Preformed dead end for OPGW
Preformed dead end for OPGW is made of aluminum-clad steel wire or galvanized steel wire,It is designed as two layers structure consisting of structural reinforcing rods and dead end component to terminate Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) .The product grips the OPGW cable to prevent damaging the strand or internal optical fibers, and the holding strenth is not less than 95%RTS of the OPGW cable.The ground wire with compression terminal can be provided.During installation,care should be taken to ensure a successful installation .This product is intended for use by trained crafts people only.

What is preformed rod?
Preformed rod is made of high strenth wire.The usual materials are galvanized steel wire,aluminum-clad steel wire,aluminum-allovy wire.
The high strenth wire through a moid molding,made of a certain length of the screw,like ordinary spring,The screw pitch is the pressure spring dozens of times,the screw inner diameter is less than the diameter of strand or conductor.Because of the elasticity of the high strenth screw wire,when it is installed and wound on the strand,the screw wire produces a grip force on the strand.This made of screw wire we call it preformed rod.The parameters include :out diameter of wire,pitch,lenth,rod diameter and helical direction.
what is preformed dead end?
In order to increase the grip foce of the preformed rod on the strand or conductor,several preformed rods glued together according to the need,and the part in contact with the strand is gritted.
A certain length in middle of the glued preformed rod need to be wrung to facilitity the installation of the thimble clevis,based on the center of the wrung segment,the preformed rod is folded in half according to the required radius to form twe legs.The product that makes after such craft processing is called preformed dead end.
Preformed dead end is widely used in power transmission and distribution lines.Its main function is to tighten the conductor and install it on the terminal tower.It bear the line operating tension and other additional loads.For various categories of conductor,strand,or optical cable etc,different occasion,to desigh different categories of preformed dead end production.Because of its special structure,compared with the traditional bolt or compression tension clamp,has excellent product performance:
1,The stress of clamped conductor is evenly distributed along the wrapping conductor segment to ensure the grip forth on the conductor and avoid the damage to the conductor caused by stress concentration.
2,The clamp stracture installed on the conductor can enhance the vibration resistance of the conductor and extend the service life of the conductor.
3,Installation is convenient,the construction personnel only needs to ensure that the clamp is evenly wound around the conductor,without any tools,installation quality is easy to ensure.
