Laser welding - process introduction,
Laser technology uses a polarizer to reflect the beam generated by the laser to concentrate it in the focusing device to produce a beam of huge energy. The workpiece melts and evaporates in a few milliseconds, so this effect can be used in the welding process.
The characteristic of laser welding is that the deformation of the welded workpiece is very small, there is almost no connection gap, and the welding depth / width ratio is high, so the welding quality is higher than that of traditional welding methods.
Laser welding can be realized by continuous or pulsed laser beam. The principle of laser welding can be divided into heat conduction welding and laser deep penetration welding.
The commonly used laser welding methods are mainly divided into three categories,
1. Laser self fusion welding. This welding method needs less test parameters to be adjusted and the welding operation is simple. It is often used to weld thin plate materials.
2. Laser wire filling welding, this kind of welding method is to add welding wire to the metal molten pool through the automatic wire feeding device during the welding process, and make it melt and weld by using the heat energy of the laser beam.
3. Laser hybrid welding, that is, composite laser beam and other welding heat sources, is commonly used in materials that are difficult or difficult to weld by the first two welding methods, such as thicker stainless steel and light alloy.
