1. Product Introduction

Sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) is an inorganic compound. Its chemical formula is (NaPO3) 6. Sodium hexametaphosphate is a white crystalline powder. Sodium hexametaphosphate is mainly used in the food industry as a quality improver, pH regulator, metal ion chelating agent, adhesive, and expanding agent. 3. Product Applications

1. Sodium hexametaphosphate for sausages and drinks
The role of sodium hexametaphosphate in drinks is mainly reflected in improving water retention, increasing adhesion, preventing fat oxidation, regulating taste, increasing juice yield, increasing viscosity, and inhibiting vitamin C decomposition. Specifically, in tea drinks, the amount of sodium hexametaphosphate added is usually between 0.01% and 0.3%, which helps prevent precipitation caused by calcium ions and other metal ions, maintaining the clarity and good taste of tea beverages. In addition, sodium hexametaphosphate also has the ability to chelate metal ions, which is particularly important for preventing discoloration and precipitation caused by metal ions in tea beverages.
