►Decription

Potassium Tetraluoroborate is a white powder or crystal , It is a hexagonal

rhombus crystal when crystalized from aqueous solution. Its relative density is

2.505, mp 530°c . It is slightly soluble in water and hot ethanol. It decomposes at

melting point, reacts with strong acids such as sulfuric acid to produce boron

trifluoride, reacts with alkaline metal carbonates to produce fluoride and borate.

►Application

Production of soldering agents:as component in fluxing agents for soldering and

brazing.

• Description of first-aid measures In case of inhalation

- Move to fresh air.

- If symptoms persist, call a physician.

In case of skin contact

- Wash off with soap and water. In case of eye contact

- In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of

water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.

- If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist. In case of ingestion - Rinse mouth

with water.

- Do NOT induce vomiting.

inhalation Effects - May cause nose, throat, and lung irritation. In case of skin

contact Effects

- Prolonged skin contact may cause skin irritation. In case of eye contact Effects

- May cause eye irritation. In case of ingestion Effects

- Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
