Description of TPO Waterproof Membrane
TPO waterproof membrane is a thermoplastic polyolefin material that combines the long-term weather resistance and durability of ethylene propylene rubber with the weldability of polypropylene. A polyester fabric layer sandwiched between two layers of TPO material enhances its physical properties, improving tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and puncture resistance. With high reflectivity and no chlorine content, it is environmentally friendly and ensures construction safety.

TPO roof membranes are classified into:
● Type L fiber-backed membrane
● Type H homogeneous membrane
● Type P fabric-reinforced membrane

Description of TPO Membrane Properties

• Manufactured through advanced polymerization technology by combining ethylene propylene rubber and polypropylene, it integrates the excellent weather resistance and durability of ethylene propylene rubber with the weldability of polypropylene.

• Utilizing special formula technology, it requires no plasticizers that easily cause material embrittlement, offering high flexibility while avoiding the embrittlement of common polyolefin materials due to plasticizer migration, ensuring long-term waterproof performance.

• A polyester fiber fabric layer is sandwiched in the middle, providing the membrane with high tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and puncture resistance, making it suitable for mechanically fixed roof systems.

• Excellent high and low temperature resistance: maintains flexibility at -40°C and mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.

• Chemical resistance: resistant to corrosion by acids, alkalis, salts, animal and vegetable oils, lubricating oils, and inhibits the growth of microorganisms such as algae and mold.

• Light-colored (predominantly white) with a smooth surface and high reflectivity, delivering energy-saving effects and pollution resistance.

• Free of chlorinated polymers or chlorine gas, with no chlorine gas emission during welding or use, making it environmentally friendly and harmless to human health.

• Hot welding is used for overlaps, forming a high-strength sealing layer.
