Heavy-duty Drive-in Pallet Rack for High-density Warehouse Storage
Drive-in pallet racking is a high-density storage system that greatly utilizes warehouse cubic space to increase effective storage capacity by reducing the number of aisles required for forklift operation.
Drive in racking can be designed with last load in - first out(LIFO), or First load in – first out(FIFO) inventory rotation, This system is the most common storage solution while homogeneous cargos need to be stored in large quantity.
How Does it work?
Drive in/thru rack systems has parallel supporting rails running the depth of the rack for palletized load placement, forklifts have to enter systems for loading and unloading pallet products circularly, the forklift operation aisle are reduced by this special storage and retrieval for cargos. In drive-in racking system, loading and retrieval happen at the same side, creating Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) inventory retrieval organization.
Drive-through rack systems load from one side and unload from the other to create First-In-First-Out inventory retrieval (FIFO); forklifts can enter from either aisle.
It is an ideal choice for similar products in large quantities for drive in rack, they are very good for cooler or freezer storage due to high density storage. Since freezers are expensive real estate, it is important to maximize the use of these areas for storage and efficiency.
