RF admittance level switch is based on RF capacitor technology. Probe head receives radio frequency . By continuous analysis, confirming the impact caused by the surrounding environment. Because materials have different dielectric constants, and their conductivity is different from air. the total impedance changes as well as capacitance shift does during contact. The energized probe and the vessel wall form two electrodes of the capacitor, so the insulator of the probe head and the surrounding air become dielectric materials. When the air (with a dielectric constant of 1.0) is replaced by any other material (with a dielectric constant>1), the capacitive efficiency will be strengthened. This changes the impedance of the application. The change of capacitance value causes the change of impedance. The circuit measures the effect, and then compares with the reference data established by the sensitivity setting.

The correct setting of RF admittance level switch sensitivity affects the correct change of sensor output. The Null -KoTeTM circuit of the probe can make the measuring circuit ignore the materials stacked on the probe, otherwise it will cause sensitivity failure. The Null-KoTeTM circuit is excited by the same radio frequency applied to the probe head. Since the current cann’t flow at the same circurt level, the Null-KoTeTM circuit blocks the current flow which is flowing from the energized probe

through stacked material to the vessel wall. In this case, RF admittance level switch can measure the correct level of the material.
