Brake shoes, also name brake block or brake pad, is the direct contact part with wheels to stop the running for thread braking trains. During the braking process, there will occur lots of heat due to the friction of brake shoes and the running wheels. There are different types of brake shoes depending on the design of the wagon manufacturer. According to the different friction coefficient, brake shoes could be divided into low friction brake shoes and high friction brake shoes.
