Supply locomotive brake shoe locomotive grey cast iron brake shoe train brake shoe
Product Overview
The brake shoe is composed of a shoe back and a friction body. The friction body is composed of adhesive material and friction material. Friction materials are made of organic binders, reinforcing fibers, inorganic and metal fillers through mixing, forming and heat treatment.
While the train is running and braking, the brake part that directly rubs the wheel to stop the train is the brake shoe; the tile shaped brake block made of cast iron, composite material or other materials holds the wheel tread tightly and makes the wheel stop rotating through friction.
Composite brake shoe for locomotive is divided into high friction coefficient composite brake shoe (referred to as high friction brake shoe) and low friction coefficient composite brake shoe (referred to as low friction brake shoe).

Powder treated brake shoe
Powder metallurgy brake shoe is made of metal or alloy as the matrix, added with friction, lubrication or other metals and nonmetals with some special functions, and made by powder metallurgy technology. Its quality is between high wear synthetic and cast iron brake shoes. It forms black powder after wearing with the locomotive wheel tread, which will not cause major damage to the locomotive wheel tread.
