Intended use
Immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative determination of CA12-5 antigen in human serum.
Summary
Ovarian cancer is the most malignant type of gynecological cancers, with an overall 5-year survival rate of only 30%. This is because diagnosis is often not made until the advanced stage. Cancer Antigen 125 (CA-12-5) is a surface antigen associated with epithelial ovarian cancer. In serum, CA-12-5 is associated with a high molecular weight glycoprotein. Serum concentrations of this tumor marker can be detected and measured by a murine monoclonal antibody. Published studies have indicated that elevated serum CA-12-5 levels can be found in individuals with
serious endometroid, clear-cell and undifferentiated ovarian carcinoma.
Materials provided
• Coated Microplate, 8 x 12 strips, 96 wells, pre-coated with monoclonal CA12-5.
• Calibrators, 6 vials, 0.5 ml each, ready to use; Concentrations: 0(A), 10(B), 40(C), 100(D), 400(E)and 800(F) U/ml
• Conjugate, 1 vial, 12mL of HRP (horseradish peroxidase)
labeled mouse monoclonal anti-CA12-5.
• Substrate Solution A, 1 vial, 6ml, ready to use, H 2 O 2 in acete buffer.
• Substrate Solution B, 1 vial, 6ml, ready to use, TMB solution.
• Stop Solution, 1 vial, 6 ml of 1 mol/l sulfuric acid.
• Wash Solution Concentrate, 1 vial, 50ml (20X concentrated), PBS-Tween wash solution.
• IFU, 1 copy.
• Plate Lid: 2 piece.

• Microplate reader with 450nm and 620nm wavelength absorbent capability.
