Cerium zirconium solid solution (CeO ₂ - ZrO2 ₂), as the core material component of modern ternary catalysts, significantly improves catalytic conversion efficiency through a unique oxygen storage release mechanism (OSC). The material is a nanoscale solid solution (grain size 8-15nm) prepared by co precipitation method, which has the outstanding characteristics:Dynamic oxygen buffering capacity: Ce ³ ⁺/Ce ⁴⁺ redox pairs release lattice oxygen (OSC capacity ≥ 300 μ mol O ₂/g) under lean combustion conditions, store gas-phase oxygen during rich combustion, broaden the air-fuel ratio window by more than 40%, and stabilize the conversion efficiency within the operating range of over 95%.
