High Gloss Saturated Polyester Resin For Coil Coating And Amino Backing Paint

Composition:

WL-182 is a water-dilutable saturated polyester resin, which can be infinitely diluted with deionized water, it can be stored stably under alkaline conditions, and will settle and stratify under acidic conditions, which is especially obvious when acidic pigments are added. Therefore, the diluted resin and finished paint should be stored under weak alkaline conditions. The pH can be adjusted using organic amines or ammonia. The viscosity of the emulsion increases with increasing pH. WL-182 saturated polyester resin has good flexibility and versatility, and it is used for water based amino baking paint.

WL-182 has good resin stability and low cost, low VOC, excellent shear stability, can be directly used for grinding color paste, high gloss, fullness, good resistance and can be widely used in coil and iron printing industries.

Application Guide

◆ After WL-182 is neutralized with N, N-dimethylethanolamine( 5~6% of the resin), it can be directly diluted with water.

◆ Add methylated amino resin (20%-30% of the resin) for baking and curing. The baking temperature is above 120°C. The baking conditions and paint film properties are related to the amino resin used. When it used with the fully methylated amino resin, an acid catalyst(0.5-1% of the resin) must be added, and the baking temperature must be above 140°C.

Characteristics

The diluted emulsion of WL-187 has excellent shear stability and can directly participate in the grinding of color paste. Because the structural characteristics of the resin help the wetting of pigments and fillers, no or less wetting agent can be added when the resin is involved in grinding.

Noted: Viscosity with * indicate the viscosity after 1:1 dilution of propylene glycol methylether.

Storage Condition

Store the product in a cool and dry place, the recommended storage temperature is 0~40℃. The shelf life is one year. After the expiration date, if the test passed, it still can be used.
