Performance
As PE/PTFE composite micro-powder wax suitable for solvent-based coatings and inks. The addition
of PTFE greatly improves the slippery and scratch resistance of polyethylene wax micro-powder,
producing a very good synergistic effect.
Application
It can be utilized in flexographic printing ink, gravure printing ink, and offset printing ink.
It can be incorporated into UV inks and UV coatings to offer anti-settling, anti-adhesion, anti-scratch, anti-stain, and anti-friction properties, while also delivering a smooth and soft texture, as well as enhanced hydrophobicity and sealing capabilities.
It can be applied in powder coatings of various resin systems such as pure epoxy, epoxy polyester, and polyester TGIC, helping to enhance surface hardness, smoothness, abrasion resistance, and providing a certain matte finish.
Adding amount and using
In different systems, the amount of wax powder added is generally between 0.5-3%.
It can usually be dispersed directly into solvent-based coatings and inks by high-speed stirring.
It can be added through various grinders and high-shear dispersing equipment. When using the
grinder, pay attention to controlling the grinding temperature.
Pre-dispersion treatment can be carried out to prepare a wax slurry with a wax powder concentration
of 20-30%, which can be added to the system when needed, which can reduce the dispersion time of
the wax powder.
