SPK MoSi₂ heating element
The MoSi₂ resistive heating element, crafted from molybdenum disilicide, is an outstanding heating component renowned for its exceptional high-temperature resistance and anti-oxidation properties. In high-temperature oxidizing atmospheres, a brilliant and densely-packed quartz (SiO₂) glass film forms on its surface, providing unrivaled protection to the inner layer of the silicon molybdenum rod against oxidation, endowing it with remarkable high-temperature oxidation resistance.
When paired with the automatic power supply system, the MoSi₂ element not only achieves precise and stable constant temperature but also has the ability to automatically adjust temperature according to complex curves, meeting the diverse needs of production processes with utmost accuracy.

Precautions for MoSi2 elements
1.MoSi₂ heating elements must be carefully used to avoid being operated within the temperature range of 400 ℃ to 700 ℃. In this unfavorable temperature zone, the elements are prone to low-temperature oxidation, which can lead to damage.
2.These heating elements are designed for use in air and neutral atmospheres. A reducing atmosphere like hydrogen can damage the protective layer, while chlorine and sulfur vapor will directly harm the elements.
3.At high temperatures above 1500 ℃, MoSi₂ heating elements soften. At low temperatures, they are hard and brittle. To prevent stress during temperature changes and facilitate the expansion and contraction of the elements, the free vertical hanging installation method is recommended. This makes the removal and replacement of lifting elements more convenient and allows for heat exchange without waiting for the furnace to cool down.
