The DOW™ ultrafiltration (UF) modules are made from high strength, hollow fiber membranes that have excellent features and benefits:

• The DuPont Dow ultrafiltration membrane module uses hollow fiber membranes with a pore size of 0.03um, ensuring stable filtration precision and high efficiency in removing bacteria, viruses, and particulate matter.

• With a bacterial removal rate of 6-log and a virus removal rate of 2.5-log, under proper pretreatment conditions, the SDI of the ultrafiltration membrane module can be maintained below 2.5.

• All membrane components are made of PVDF fibers, known for their high strength, chemical resistance, and resistance to contamination, ensuring the longevity and operational stability of the membrane module.

• The DuPont Dow ultrafiltration membrane module operates with an external pressure design, which, compared to internal pressure designs, allows the module to accommodate higher incoming TSS levels, ensuring the production of high-quality water.

Operating Parameters

Proper start-up of a UF system is essential to prepare the membranes for operating service and to prevent membrane damage. Following the proper start-up sequence also helps ensure that system operating parameters conform to design specifications so that system water quality and productivity goals can be achieved. Before initiating system start-up procedures, membrane pretreatment, installation of the membrane modules, instrument calibration and other system checks should be completed.
