LR Vertical Reverse Circulation Canned Motor Pump

DESCRIPTION

The Canned motor pump is composed of a shielded electric motor and a pump, and is an unsealed pump that breaks the traditional sealing device of the rotating shaft of the pump, achieving perfect operation without leakage.

The drive of an ordinary centrifugal pump is to connect the impeller shaft of the pump with the electric shaft through a coupling, so that the impeller and the electric motor rotate together and work. However, a shielded pump is an unsealed pump, and both the pump and the driving motor are sealed in a pressure vessel filled with the pumped medium.

This pressure vessel only has a static seal and is equipped with a wire group to provide a rotating magnetic field and drive the rotor. This structure eliminates the rotary shaft sealing device that traditional centrifugal pumps have, so it can achieve complete leak free operation.

The reverse circulation type is suitable for conveying easily vaporized liquids, and its characteristic is that the lubrication and cooling path is opposite to the basic type, so it is called the reverse circulation type. This type of pump itself does not require an exhaust valve, and its reverse circulation pipeline can discharge the motor circulating liquid into the gas phase zone of the liquid inlet tank, ensuring that there is no gas present in the pump and motor cavities, ensuring lubrication of bearings and cooling of the motor. This structure is suitable for conveying low-temperature liquefied gases, such as LPG, LNG, and other low density easily vaporized liquids

FEATURES

Canned motor pump is composed by canned motor and pump, the inner surface of the stator and the outer surface of the rotor are covered by a thin-walled non-magnetic corrosion-resistant metal, so the stator winding, the rotor core will not be eroded by the conveying liquid, due to they are completely separated. In addition, the impeller is directly installed at the shaft extension of the rotor, the entire rotor is immersed in the conveying liquid, no rotating parts extend outside, is a structure without leakage, so it has the following advantages.

(1) Leak free, it is suitable for transporting toxic, explosive, flammable, purified, corrosive liquids;

(2) Complete seal, it is suitable for transporting liquids which is easy to oxidize;

(3) No mechanical seal, it is suitable for conveying high system pressure liquids, high melting point liquids, high temperature liquids, and low temperature liquids.

(4) Using medium as the lubrication, no need grease, no contamination to the transported liquid, no need of grease injection and drainage, either;

(5) Due to the motor and pump are coaxial integration, it is space saving, light in weight, compact design, easy to maintain and dismantle;

(6) The motor adopts water cooling or natural cooling, no fan, so the running vibration is less and the noise is lower.

Precautions for using shielded pumps:

1. During normal operation, the outlet valve should not be closed tightly and should be kept slightly open to prevent air blockage in the pump.
2. It is strictly prohibited to operate without liquid or for more than 1 minute to prevent damage to the motor and bearings.
3. It is strictly prohibited to run in reverse for more than 1 minute, as reverse operation may cause abnormal wear of the bearings.
4. It is strictly prohibited to operate under cavitation conditions, otherwise it may cause early wear of the bearings.
