Standard material
Standard self-piercing rivets are manufactured by forging, hardening and tempering with special steel wire as raw material. It can provide the best riveting performance in a wide range of applications.
Special material
- Austenitic stainless steel self-piercing rivet - used for riveting stainless steel plates with lower hardness;
- Martensitic stainless steel rivets - stainless steel sheets with high hardness that can not be riveted with austenitic stainless steel rivets;
- Copper rivet - used for riveting special sheets, such as copper, brass and plastic sheets;
- Aluminum rivet - used to rivet aluminium sheets with lower hardness.
Rivet hardness
Rivets are manufactured according to different hardness levels to meet the riveting requirements of different riveted sheet groups. Generally speaking, the hardness of rivets increases with the thickness and/or hardness of riveted sheets.
