1. Surface Preparation

  • Cleaning the Surface:
    • The road surface must be free from dirt, oil, grease, and loose debris. Use a broom, pressure washer, or mechanical cleaner to clear the area. This is critical to ensure that the paint adheres properly.
    • In some cases, if the road surface has existing markings, these should be removed to avoid interference with the new markings.
  • Drying the Surface:
    • Ensure that the road is dry before applying the paint, as moisture can affect the adhesion and performance of the hot melt paint.

2. Heating the Paint

3. Application Process

  • Using the Road Marking Machine:

- Synthetic Resin: It is the main component of thermoplastic road marking paint, such as rosin and its derivative modified resins, petroleum resins, polyester resins, etc. It has adhesive properties and quick-drying characteristics, enabling the paint to adhere to the road surface and bond through hot melting.
- Glass Beads: Usually with a diameter of 0.1-1.4 millimeters, they are colorless and transparent. They can improve the recognizability of the markings at night, enhance brightness and durability, and also protect the markings from wear.
