According to the physical properties of the stirring medium material, the process conditions and the purpose of stirring, the type of agitator is selected.
According to the determined agitator type and the flow state generated by the agitator during the stirring process, the process control requirements for the stirring mixing time, sedimentation rate, and dispersion, the motor power, stirring speed, and agitator diameter are determined.
According to the motor power, stirring speed and process conditions, the reducer model is selected from the reducer selection table.
Determine the number of agitator layers according to the size of the container or tank body: 1) Select a 1-layer agitator when the ratio of the tank body (container) height/tank body diameter (or length and width) is close to 1:1; 2) When the ratio of the tank body (container) height/tank body diameter (or length and width) is greater than or equal to 1.5:1, select a 2-layer agitator; 3) When the ratio of the tank body (container) height/tank body diameter (or length and width) is greater than or equal to 2.5:1, select a 3-layer agitator
Calculation of stirring flow and motor power is a very important step: it is generally determined according to the need for stirring intensity, and is calculated using calculation software. When calculating specifically, parameters such as viscosity value, density, number of paddle layers, and speed need to be entered.
Selection of sealing type for liquid mixer: 1) In general, sealing devices are not considered; 2) In situations where there are sealing requirements but the sealing requirements are not too high, a stuffing box seal with PTFE packing is preferred; 3) For strict sealing requirements, a magnetic transmission static sealing structure can be used, that is, a magnetic transmission (drive) mixer can be selected.
