9260 spring steel is a widely used silicomanganese spring steel with slightly higher strength, elasticity and hardenability than 9255. Silicon and manganese can improve the elastic limit and yield strength ratio, hardenability, tempering resistance and relaxation resistance, and the overheating sensitivity is lower than manganese steel. The overall performance of this steel is better than all kinds of carbon spring steel. 9260 is widely used in vehicle and tractor industries to make leaf springs with heavy load and large stress and spiral springs with large diameter.
