I. Basic parameters
- Vulcanization pressure range: generally between 1.0 - 2.0MPa. The appropriate pressure can ensure that the tread rubber is closely attached to the old tire and vulcanize the rubber evenly.
- Vulcanization temperature range: The temperature is usually controlled at around 140 - 160℃. This temperature range is conducive to the vulcanizer in the rubber compound to play a role and promote the cross-linking reaction of rubber molecules.
- Vulcanization time: Depending on the tire specifications and rubber compound formula, it generally ranges from 30 to 90 minutes. Accurate vulcanization time control is crucial to the quality of the tread.
II. Structural composition
- Heating system
- Electric heating is adopted, and its heating elements are evenly distributed around the vulcanization chamber to ensure the uniformity of temperature during the vulcanization process. The heating power may be around 10 - 50kW depending on the equipment specifications to meet the requirements of heating speed and temperature maintenance.
- The temperature sensor has high accuracy and can monitor the temperature in the vulcanization chamber in real time, and feedback the signal to the control system to achieve precise temperature control, with an error range of ±2°C.
- Pressure system
- Mostly hydraulic systems, including hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders and various control valves. The pressure output of the hydraulic pump is stable, providing a reliable pressure source for vulcanization.
- The pressure sensor can detect pressure changes in real time and adjust the pressure with the control system to ensure that the pressure fluctuation range is small and maintained within ±5% of the set pressure.
- Mold system
- The size of the mold is precisely matched with the tread profile of the truck tire, and the pattern design on its surface must meet the requirements of tire use. For example, the pattern depth is generally between 10-20mm to provide good grip.
- The mold material is usually made of high-quality alloy steel, which has good thermal conductivity, wear resistance and high strength, ensuring that it will not deform under long-term use and high pressure and high temperature environment, and can ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the tread after vulcanization.
3. Control system
- It adopts programmable logic controller (PLC) for control, and realizes automatic control of parameters such as temperature, pressure and time during vulcanization through pre-written programs.
- The operation interface is intuitive and friendly, and operators can easily set and adjust parameters. At the same time, the system can also record and store parameter data of each vulcanization for quality traceability and process optimization.
4. Safety device
- It is equipped with an emergency stop button. When the equipment is abnormal, the operator can quickly press the button to cut off the power supply of the equipment and stop the vulcanization process.
- It is equipped with a safety light curtain or protective door switch. When the protective door is opened or the light curtain is blocked, the equipment automatically stops running to prevent the operator from being injured.
