Product Introduction
A gate valve is a type of valve that uses a ram or wedge-shaped disc to open or block the flow of fluid in a pipeline through the vertical movement of the ram.
The main working principle of the gate valve is to use the perpendicular movement of the gate plate and the fluid direction to cut off or connect the fluid, and its design makes the gate valve can only be in a fully open or fully closed state, and cannot be adjusted or throttled.
This design feature makes the gate valve ideal for complete clogging in applications where fluid flow is required, for example, it is used as a shut-off valve in piping systems.
Gate valve structure
The structure of the gate valve includes the valve body, valve cover, ram, valve stem, valve seat and seal packing and other parts.
The valve body provides fluid passage and support structure, while the ram is a critical component that is responsible for opening or closing the fluid passage. The valve stem is used to drive the ram to move up and down to realize the opening and closing of the valve. The sealing packing ensures a good seal when the valve is closed.
