When the rubber compound is processed on the open mill, what conditions should be met to obtain a good rubber mixing effect?


The main research from the rheological point of view

How does the extrusion of the rubber material occur? And the relationship with transverse pressure? The compound is strongly squeezed and sheared in the nip, as shown in the figure. The squeezing action is caused by the rubber material passing through the gradually narrowing roller spacing, and the squeezing force increases with the increase of the transverse pressure.
