The principle of laser cleaning:
The pulse energy Laser cleaning process depends on the characteristics of the pulse energy beam generated by the laser. It based on the high-energy photophysical reaction caused by the interaction among the high-intensity laser beam, short-pulse laser, and pollution layers.
The physical principles can be summarized as follows:
1) The laser beam should be absorbed by the contamination layer on the surface to be cleaned.
2) The absorption of a large amount of laser energy forms a rapidly expanding plasma (a highly ionized unstable gas), which generates shock waves.
3) The laser beam generates ultrasonic waves on the solid surface to generate mechanical resonance and break the dirt off.
4) The pulse width of the laser must be short enough to avoid heat accumulation that would damage the base material.
5) Experiments show that when there is oxide on the metal surface, plasma is generated on the metal surface.
