It should be avoided at temperatures of 540 to 815 ° C (1000-1500 ° F), as the ductility of the alloy will decrease. In an oxidizing gas such as air, Hastelloy B2 can be used at temperatures up to 540 ° C (1000 ° F). In reduced gas or vacuum, the alloy can be used at 815 ° C (1500 ° F) to a higher temperature.
