Application of inductors

Inductors' applications range from the use of large inductors in power supplies, which along with filter capacitors remove multiples of the mains frequency of the DC output , to small inductors of ferrite beads or toris installed around the cable to prevent radio frequency interference in transmission along the wire.In many switching power supplies, the inductor works as energy storage device to produce DC current.
