Description

AL-40S intrusion detector provides high-quality security at an outstanding value.
The features of AL-40S include Qualified Motion Analysis. Rock-solid RFI Immunity, Pet Immunity, Digital Operating
System and Dual Slope Temperature Compensation.
The product is a wall-mounted passive infrared detector with high stability. It adopts advanced signal processing technology, providing superhigh detection and anti-false alarm abilities. When an intruder passes through the detection area, the detector will detect the movements of human body automatically. If any movements, it will send alarm signal to the connected alarm host. It is suitable for safety protection in residential houses, villas, factories, shopping malls, warehouses and office buildings etc.

8. TROUBLE SHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE

TROUBLE TROUBLE CAUSE REMEDY
Unit does not power up. No or low input power. Apply proper input voltage.
Input power polarity reversed. Correct wiring polarity.

Alarm LED does not light.

 LED jumper is set to “LED OFF”. Set LED jumper to “LED ENABLE”(See Section 3).
Incorrect sensor mounting height. Increase /decrease mounting height.
Pulse Count setting incorrect for secured area. Set pulse count jumper to suit the required detection characteristics.

Alarm LED/Relay triggers with out movement in detection area.

 Unsecured environment:Animals / rodents in detection area . Block access of animals / rodents.
Heater/air conditioning equipment in sensor view. Re-aim sensor.
Direct sun or headlights in sensor view. Add curtain/shade to block light sources.
LED indicates alarm, no alarm output. Incorrect wiring at alarm output terminals. Correct wiring fault.
Lightning damage. Replace sensor.
Alarm LED on constantly, no fault in protected area or wiring. Defective unit. Replace sensor.
Unit continues to operate after the input power has been disc- onnected.

The wire to the “ - ” power input was disconnected, the“ + ” is still connected.

The power can now find a return path through the Alarm Output protection device and alarm wiring.

Disconnect wire from the “ + “ power input.

MAINTENANCE

INSPECTION:An inspection of this unit should be made periodically,consisting of,but not limited to all mounting,wiring,and the condition of the interior area and components.

CLEANING: Clean the plastic parts of this unit with a soft , clean , cloth dampened with water.

TESTING: This unit should be tested routinely for proper operation. At a minimum,operation should be fully checked yearly.

NOTES: This detector is designed to be incorporated into an alarm system. As it is part of a system, ALEPH cann’t assume responsibility for theft or damage if the system fails to operate.
