Product Description
The Mitsubishi MR-J4-70A (MRJ470A) is a Melservo MR-J4 servo amplifier with an output wattage of 750W. The servo amplifier has an output rated current of 5.8A and a rated voltage of 170VAC that has 3-phases. The main circuit and control circuit are both power supply inputs. Both power supplies have voltages of 200 to 240VAC with frequencies of 50/60Hz and likewise both run on 1-phase, but the main circuit input can also run on 3-phase.
There are twelve servo motors that are able to cooperate with the MR-J4-70A servo amplifier. Four rotary servo motors may be implemented to the servo amplifier; five different linear servo motors from the LM-H3, LM-K2, and LM-U2; and three different direct drive motors.
The MR-J4-70A servo amplifier has multiple ports; items that may be applied to the servo amplifier by connecting to the port. The CN5 port can concatenate with a personal computer by the MR Configurator2 using this specific USB cable, the MR-J3USBCBL3M. The CN3 port can connect to a GOT touchscreen display by a RS-422 communication. Then, the CN8 port connects to a safety logic module. The MR-J4-70A servo amplifier may connect to Mitsubishi control modules by linking these modules to the junction terminal block. Control modules that can be exploited are from the FX3 series, Q series, and the FX2N-_PG. The servo motors that can be tethered to the MR-J4-70A servo amplifier by an encoder cable (which would attach to the CN2 port) and a servo motor power cable (which can connect to the U, V, W).

COMPLIANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVES
1. WHAT ARE EC DIRECTIVES?
The EC directives were issued to standardize the regulations of the EU countries and ensure smooth
distribution of safety-guaranteed products. In the EU countries, the machinery directive (effective in
January, 1995), EMC directive (effective in January, 1996) and low voltage directive (effective in January,
1997) of the EC directives require that products to be sold should meet their fundamental safety
requirements and carry the CE marks (CE marking). CE marking applies to machines and equipment
into which servo amplifiers have been installed.
(1) EMC directive
The EMC directive applies not to the servo units alone but to servo-incorporated machines and
equipment. This requires the EMC filters to be used with the servo-incorporated machines and
equipment to comply with the EMC directive. For specific EMC directive conforming methods, refer to
the EMC Installation Guidelines (IB(NA)67310).
(2) Low voltage directive
The low voltage directive applies also to servo units alone. Hence, they are designed to comply with
the low voltage directive.
This servo is certified by TUV, third-party assessment organization, to comply with the low voltage
directive.
(3) Machine directive
Not being machines, the servo amplifiers need not comply with this directive.
