Yiphang is known for precision CNC machining services. All of our machinists are highly experienced to accomplish some of the most complex machining requirements. Our machine shop has numerous machining centers to machine aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, plastics, and many other hard materials. Our in-house machine shop caters to low and high quantity fabrication of machined parts. Our CNC machines are classified into three different categories: vertical, horizontal, and turning.

• CNC Vertical Machining Center’s tooling is positioned straight down. This allows for the tool to machine a part across its surface. Yiphang also has several High Speed CNC Vertical Machining Centers that allow us to easily accomplish drill, tap, bore, and mill.

• CNC Horizontal Machining Center’s tooling sticks out of the side of the tooling holder which allows for the tooling to machine the sides of a part. This allows for the tool to machine a part across its surface.

• CNC Turning allows for the part to rotate while the tooling is traversed along 2 axes of motion and cuts through the rotating surface to the desired outcome.

Material Info & Types

Here is machining information and the types of machining Yiphang does in-house. Starting with the basics, many ask what is Machining? According to American Machinist, machining is a form of subtractive manufacturing, where a collection of material-working processes utilizing power-driven machine tools, such as saws, lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, are used with a sharp cutting tool to physically remove material to achieve a desired geometry.

CNC machining involves machining with Computer Numeric Control. This allows a programmer to program commands to the CNC machine to automatically choose tooling and machine a part based upon a Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) files.

There are several types of materials that VIP can machine. We have the capabilities to machine plates or bar stock in round, rectangular, square, and hexagon shapes. Plates of all thicknesses can be machined including sheets, coils, billet, forgings, castings, and molded parts just to name a few. Sizes can range from .003” shimstock to whatever our machines can handle based on the material. Our limit to machining would be around 12” plate tops, 14” round, and ingots up to 2000 pounds.
