Cold Rolled 0.15mm 0.2mm 0.3mm 0.4mm 301 304 Precision Stainless Steel Strip
301 stainless steel strip is a metastable austenitic stainless steel, which has a complete austenitic structure under the condition of sufficient solid solution. Among the austenitic stainless steels, 301 is the most easily strengthened steel by cold deformation. The strength and hardness of the steel can be improved through cold deformation processing, and sufficient plasticity and toughness can be retained. In addition, this steel has good resistance to atmospheric conditions. Rust resistance, but poor corrosion resistance in reducing medium, poor corrosion resistance in chemical media such as acid, alkali and salt, so it is not recommended for use in harsh corrosive environments. 301 is mainly used in the cold working state to bear high load, but also hope to reduce the weight of equipment and rust-free equipment parts.
What is the difference between 301 and 304 stainless steel strips ?
Compared with 304, 301 has less Cr and Ni content, higher tensile strength and hardness during cold working, non-magnetic (but magnetic after cold working), and is mostly used in vehicles, bolts, springs, screens, etc. Corrosion resistance is not as good as Type 304
Type 304 is a widely used material. It can withstand general rust in buildings and resists erosion by food processing media.
The hardness of 301 is less than HB207, while the hardness of 304 is less than HB187, and the yield strength (205N/mm²) and tensile strength (520N/mm²) of the two are similar.
