W type guardrail plate column installation detailed process

(a) Using the punching method to set the column(highway guardrail roll forming machine/ highway guardrail bending machine)

Punching method to set the column, should be strictly in accordance with the steel brazing to determine the position, first place the self-made guide, and then the column along the guide hole into, to ensure verticality. The column should be driven into the soil to the designed depth. When the column is driven too deep, the column should not be partially pulled out to be corrected, but all of it should be pulled out and re-driven after the foundation has been compacted. The installation of the column shall be in accordance with the design drawings. And with the road line shape coordination, column should be firmly buried in the soil, to the design depth, and with the road vertical.

(b) W type guardrail plate column such as playing into the difficulty, can use the drilling method or excavation method to install the column

When using the drilling method for column installation, column positioning should be backfilled with the same material as the roadbed, and tamped in layers, so that it has no less compactness than the adjacent in situ soil. When the excavation method is used and the column is buried, the backfill should be of good and identical material and compacted in layers (each layer should not be more than 15cm thick) and the compaction of the backfill should not be less than that of the adjacent virgin soil. Post piles in rock should be backfilled with granular material and compacted.

(c) taking into account the guardrail structure on the landscape and the driver's line of sight induced impact, column installation in place, should be immediately verticality, position, elevation check. Perpendicularity check using a ruler to check root by root.

W type guardrail plate column position check, spacing check straight line using steel ruler detection, curve section using the declination method using latitude and longitude meter detection; horizontal position check using the ruler road centre line and column horizontal spacing. Elevation check, the road surface on the inside of the curb as a benchmark, using self-made mold or level meter to check root by root.
