Each lane consists of rollers or wheels set at a decline, allowing pallets to flow smoothly from the loading end to the unloading end by gravity. The pallets are loaded onto the higher end of the rack, and as one pallet is removed from the picking face at the lower end, the next pallet in line moves forward automatically.
